Which Mac do I have? Open Apple menu → About This Mac. If it shows Chip: Apple M…, choose Apple Silicon. If it shows Processor: Intel, choose Intel.

Quick setup — 3 steps

  1. Install and open Retuner Pro. The app walks you through audio routing on first launch.
  2. Select your output device (speakers, headphones, or any output) inside the app.
  3. Start playback in any music app and choose a tuning preset. That's it.

macOS audio setup — BlackHole

Live routing on macOS requires the free BlackHole virtual audio driver. Install it once; Retuner Pro handles the rest automatically.

  1. Download and install BlackHole from existential.audio/blackhole.
  2. Open Retuner Pro and enable Live audio routing.
  3. Retuner Pro switches macOS output to BlackHole while routing is active, then restores your previous device when you turn it off.

Using Loopback instead of BlackHole? Disable the monitor output in Loopback to avoid hearing the audio twice.

Windows audio setup — automatic

Retuner Pro handles Windows audio routing automatically. During first launch, it checks for a compatible virtual audio driver already on your system.

  • If a supported virtual audio driver is detected (VB-CABLE or similar), Retuner Pro uses it.
  • If no compatible driver is found, Retuner Pro can install the bundled VB-CABLE driver for you.
  • No duplicate drivers are installed — the setup only adds what your system actually needs.

Before you contact support

  • On Windows, confirm the installer completed without skipping driver permission prompts.
  • On macOS, confirm BlackHole is installed and visible in System Settings → Sound.
  • Confirm your speaker or headphone output is selected inside the Retuner Pro app.
  • Try fully quitting and reopening the app after any audio driver change.
